Rachel’s Review

In a nutshell: watch Season 1, don’t watch Season 2.

Season 1 of Wayward Pines is an interesting yet gentle amble through a town seeped in mystery. It almost feels like some sort of Stepford Wives kind of town, yet the truth is actually much more sinister.

Season 2 of Wayward Pines starts out confusing, the jump from the Season 1 finale to the new season so great it is hard to really work out what the hell is going on. To be honest, I only watched one episode of Season 2 before abandoning it. One day I might go back and revisit, but it is highly unlikely.

However, I cannot praise the first season highly enough, so just consider this a standalone series and you should be fine.
