“Humans” Season 2 Premiere Date Confirmed

As of last week we had confirmation as to the premiere date of Humans, Season 2, on AMC.  It will debut Monday, February 13, at 10 PM on the East Coast of the United States.  Along with the announcement AMC also released a new promo photo:

The promo features characters from the first season:  Leo (Colin Morgan), Max (Ivanno Jeremiah), and Niska (Emily Berrington), but once again using Gemma Chan as Mia as the centerpiece of the picture.

We will not only to see the return of our Synth Family, but also the Hawkins family–Joe (Tom Goodman-Hill), Laura (Katherine Parkinson), Toby (Theo Stevenson), Mattie (Lucy Carless), and Sophie (Pixie Davies)–as well as Neil Maskell and Ruth Bradley as D.S. Pete Drummond and D.S. Karen Voss.  The new season will also see the addition of Carrie-Anne Moss as Dr. Athena Morrow, an AI researcher as to try and reverse the “consciousness virus” released at the end of Season 1, which is causing synths around the world to wake up and break free of their programming.

Along with the announcement AMC has finally released an official, full-length trailer:

And for something a little extra, here is the original Channel 4 trailer released in the UK for Season 2:

And here is the official Humans Twitter feed, which you can use to keep up on breaking news.

As this was the first show I recapped, you know I’m going to be here to recap all eight episodes of Season 2.  It looks like February is going to keep Rachel and I busy, with her recapping The Walking Dead while I’m recapping Humans.

And that’s just the way we like it.
