Take a Look In the “Mirror”

bm-promo-shot

In 2015 Netflix announced that they would produce Seasons 3 and 4 of Black Mirror, a critically acclaimed and wildly inventive British science fiction anthology that aired in 2011, 2013, and 2014.  Today they announced that Season 3 will premiere on 21 October, 2016, and that Season 4 will run at some point in 2017.  There will be six episodes in each season; for Season 3 the first five episodes will run for about an hour, while Episode 6 will run ninety minutes.

You know where this is going, don’t you?  I mean, I wouldn’t be doing this write-up otherwise…

I will be doing the recaps for each of the episodes.  At the moment I anticipate doing an episode a week, but it’s entirely possible that an additional recap could appear as Netflix has Seasons 1 and 2 as well as the 2014 “White Christmas” special, so by doing that we I could get through all three seasons in six weeks.  (Seasons 1 and 2 have three episodes each.)

What you can be assured of is that the recaps of Black Mirror will be informative, entertaining–and probably full of snark when necessary, because that’s what we do.

The official synopsis for the series is below.

“A television anthology series that shows the dark side of life and technology.”

See you in October!
